Voltage Regulator

A voltage regulator is an electrical control system (regulator) designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level. In the automotive application, the Voltage regulator keeps the charging voltage from the generator to the battery at a constant Voltage of 13 to 14.4 volts. Especially on modern cars it is important to keep the voltage very constant, so that electronic control units will not get any damage.
