The trend for natural gas fuel is steadily increasing. More and more car drivers let their cars re-equip for natural gas, by the following reasons: less operating costs, the economical way of drive, a well-built petrol station network environmentally friendly. However, a natural gas drive involves also problems like the mixture of LPG gas, no adjustment between engine and gas, higher temperatures and impact on the ignition cables and ignition coils, compared to petrol-fuelled vehicles.
Therefore, BBT offers ignition cables with a metallic conductor for the most gas vehicles which acts as a resistor and an inductor at the same time, to create an internal resonating circuit. This provides a strong and powerful spark current to the spark plug.
The BBT spark plug cables for natural gas engines are built in such a way, that the phase shift is minimized in order to achive maximum electrical power to the spark.
Extensive research in the laboratory and on the engine dynometer has shown that the BBT spark plug cables for natural gas engines are superior to other spark plug cables. A spark with higher electrical current causes faster combustion, lower fuel consumption, and, as a consequence, the CO2 emission to the atmosphere is reduced.
The BBT range of ignition cables for LPG (Liquefied Petrolium Gas) and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) engines, includes 32 items for 460 different vehicles.
